Scientifically Oriented Athletic Regimen is a versatile and progressive training program based in science and focused on helping athletes reach new levels of performance. Our progressive and balanced approach builds well-rounded athletes. As past athletes ourselves, we created the SOAR program to fit the needs of any athlete.
We have put our college-education in exercise science, national certifications as personal trainers and strength and conditioning coaches, and vast experiences with athletes to build a one-of-a-kind program in Northern Colorado. We strive to connect with each athlete to help them feel welcomed, motivated, and ready to work hard each session.

Monica grew up dancing at a pre-professional ballet studio in Montana. There, she danced with their Company and performed in ballets such as Giselle, Romeo and Juliet, Coppelia, Don Quixote, and many more. Monica also studied Horton and Graham Modern technique, both at her studio and in college. Monica began teaching dance in college as well, and she has been teaching for eleven years now. Recently, she earned her master’s degree in dance education from UNC, culminating in a thesis project investigating the impact of a strength training curriculum on the technique of middle and high school dancers in Ballet, Jazz, and Modern.
Monica also has a love for strength training. She has been weightlifting since high school, and now participates in a powerlifting program designed by her husband, Kyle. She loves breaking the stigmas that often surround dancers and weightlifting, as well as women and powerlifting, to prove that female dancers can lift heavy while maintaining flexibility and without “bulking up”. Monica’s expertise in dance and experience with strength training, combined with Kyle’s expertise in sports performance and appreciation for dance as an extremely athletic art form, make Elevate a unique opportunity for dancers to experience growth in new ways.
